Dodge County Jail Roster Overview
The official Dodge County jail roster is reached from the Dodge County Sheriff's Office jail population page and opens an embedded InteropWeb current-inmates roster. It is a free public roster, not a clerk docket and not a state prison search. The page is labeled for jail population and bond arraignment information, and the inspected roster showed tabs for Current Inmates, 24 Hours Arrests, and Inmates by Arrest Date.
Dodge County inmate records on that roster cover people booked into the local jail by agencies such as the Dodge County Sheriff's Office and Eastman Police Department. A person who has bonded out may still appear on an arrest-date result with a RELEASED status, while a person sentenced and transferred to a Georgia prison should be searched through the Georgia Department of Corrections offender query. Federal and immigration custody also sit outside the county roster.
The sheriff site does not publish an exact roster refresh schedule. The 24-hour arrests tab gives a same-day route for very new bookings, but a no-result search is not proof that someone was not arrested. Call the Dodge County jail when timing, spelling, or release status is uncertain.
Use Dodge County Inmate Roster
The roster works best when the last name is known, but the public fields are optional enough to browse paged lists. During the June 4, 2026 inspection, the Current Inmates tab displayed multiple pages, while the arrest-date tab displayed both current and released statuses. The direct roster can be opened from the sheriff page or through the InteropWeb address.
- Open the Dodge County InteropWeb roster or the sheriff's jail-population page.
- Use Current Inmates for people believed to be in custody now.
- Use 24 Hours Arrests when the booking may have happened today.
- Use Inmates by Arrest Date for a known date range or a person who may already be released.
- Enter last name and first name if known, then choose Search Inmates.
- Read status, arrest date, arresting agency, days in jail, bond, and charge rows before relying on the result.
The roster has pagers, so a broad search may require moving through more than one page. For names with common spellings, compare the arrest date, agency, sex, height, weight, and address fields before assuming a match.
Dodge County Roster Search Fields
The roster does not ask for a booking number in the inspected public form. It uses tab navigation, optional name fields, and, on the arrest-date page, a date range. These fields make the Dodge County inmate records search useful for both current custody and recent release checks.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates / 24 Hours Arrests / Inmates by Arrest Date | Tab links | No | Current Inmates is the default; the other tabs narrow by recent booking or arrest-date range. |
| Last Name | Text | No | Optional field with lower-case placeholder text. Leaving it blank can return paged lists. |
| First Name | Text | No | Optional first-name field used with the last-name field for narrower results. |
| Begin Date | Date picker/text | For date searches | Used on Inmates by Arrest Date; calendar controls include Today, Clear, OK, and Cancel. |
| End Date | Date picker/text | For date searches | Sets the end of the search window for released and current arrest-date results. |
| Search Inmates | Button | N/A | Runs the selected tab search. |
The arrest-date search screen is useful when the person is not on the current roster but the arrest date is known. It can show released records, so read the status line with care.
Dodge County Inmate Profile Fields
Each public roster listing is a block of custody and charge data rather than a clerk-certified criminal-history report. The inspected public rows showed a photo cell, uppercase name, status, physical description fields, address, arrest date, arresting agency on current rows, days in jail, total bond, and charge table. Booking number, date of birth, cell assignment, race, release date, judge, and per-charge bond type were not visible in the sampled rows.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Photo area | A roster image slot exists, but inspected Dodge County rows showed a placeholder image. |
| Name | Roster name in last-name-first format. |
| Status | CURRENTLY BOOKED on current rows, with RELEASED also appearing on arrest-date results. |
| Sex / height / weight | Basic physical descriptors; height appears in a three-digit feet/inches format. |
| Address | Public address field shown in roster rows. |
| Arrest date and agency | Booking date, with current rows often appending agency names such as DODGE COUNTY SO or EASTMAN PD. |
| Days in jail | System count of days since booking or arrest. |
| Total bond | Bond field that often showed NOT SET in inspected rows. |
| Charge rows | Warrant number, counts, statute, description, misdemeanor/felony code, and court when populated. |
Dodge County Custody Lookup Paths
Different custody systems cover different Dodge County inmate records. The county jail roster is for local jail custody and recent arrests. GDC is for sentenced adult state prisoners. DJJ handles committed youth at Eastman YDC and does not offer an adult-style public inmate lookup. Federal and immigration searches require federal tools because no BOP prison or ICE detention center was located in Dodge County official facility sources.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | What to Know |
|---|---|---|
| County jail, pretrial, short local sentence | Dodge County jail roster | Use current, 24-hour, and arrest-date tabs. |
| Sentenced adult state prisoner | GDC offender query | Use after prison transfer or for Dodge State Prison custody. |
| Juvenile DJJ custody | Georgia DJJ location channels | Eastman YDC is not searched through the adult jail roster. |
| Federal prisoner | BOP inmate locator | Covers BOP custody and many released/not-in-BOP records. |
| Immigration detainee | ICE Online Detainee Locator | Searches current ICE custody and some CBP custody over 48 hours. |
VINELink is available as a notification supplement for custody or release alerts, but it should not replace the sheriff, GDC, or the responsible court when a current decision depends on the answer.

Booking Process in Dodge County
Dodge County's detainee policy says a person entering the jail is pat searched, restrained, processed through booking, asked identification and medical questions, strip searched, and issued jail attire and property. Fingerprints may be taken in some cases. The person receives the detainee policy pamphlet and can remain in custody for bond, a court decision, sentence service, transfer, or release.
After booking is complete, a detainee may have the privilege to make one phone call. The policy limits that intake call to five minutes and says officers may revoke or suspend the privilege. Housing units also have pay phones for collect calls and the policy's named call type. For a new arrest that has not appeared on the public roster, the jail phone line is the practical fallback.
Bond information on the roster should be treated as a snapshot. The inspected records often showed Total Bond: NOT SET, and holds from another agency or court can block release even when a Dodge County bond issue is addressed.
Dodge County Jail Visit Rules
Visitation at the Dodge County Detention Center is narrow and approval based. The sheriff detention page says visits are weather permitting and may be canceled without prior notice. Detainees are limited to five approved visitors, usually immediate family members or a significant other unless special circumstances apply.
| Visit Type | Schedule | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled visitation | Wednesday 5:00 pm-5:30 pm; Saturday 10:00 am-10:30 am | Approved visitors only; weather permitting; subject to cancellation. |
| Unscheduled visitation | Not allowed outside posted windows | Limited emergencies or attorney/bondsman appointments may be approved in advance. |
| Attorney visitation | Exception category | Detainees may be searched before and after visits. |
Visitors must submit an application. Disapproval reasons can be requested in writing, and forms must be legible, complete, and dated. Cell phones, PDAs, mobile devices, and recording devices are prohibited in the visitation area. Visitors may have to identify themselves and may be searched.
Request Dodge County Booking Records
When Dodge County inmate records are not online, use the county open-records process. The county policy cites the Georgia Open Records Act and says a response is due within three business days after receipt, even if production will take longer or if no responsive document exists. The county does not have to create a new report, summary, or compilation that does not already exist.
Jail and booking requests should go to the sheriff's office contact listed in the county policy: Dodge County Sheriff, 85 Industrial Blvd, Eastman, GA 31023, phone 478-559-1130, and tgraham@dodgecosheriff.com. For certified court records after the arrest, use Clerk of Superior Court Rhett Walker, 643 Pearl Bates Avenue, PO Box Drawer 4276, Eastman, GA 31023, phone 478.374.2871.
| Cost Rule | Amount or Trigger |
|---|---|
| First labor period | First 15 minutes free. |
| Letter/legal copies | 10 cents per page. |
| Labor after free time | Hourly rate of the lowest-paid qualified employee. |
| Estimate over $25 | County notifies requester before retrieval proceeds. |
| Estimate over $500 | Prepayment may be required before retrieval begins. |
Dodge County Mail and Money
Dodge County mail rules are specific. Outgoing letters must not be sealed except attorney or judge mail. Incoming mail is searched and monitored, while incoming legal mail is searched in front of the inmate but not read. Mail with perfume, explicit or inciting images, photos or descriptions, or mailing supplies may be prohibited and confiscated.
Money for the jail store has a local timing rule. The policy says store-call money for the current week's order must be in by Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Store sheets are distributed Wednesday night, orders are placed Thursday, and distribution is Friday, subject to change. The same policy says money for a detainee account can only be accepted at the courthouse during business hours, so confirm the current practice before traveling.
Note: Confirm custody, visitation status, and account rules with the jail before sending funds or visiting.
